Who Is Dr. Chris Foley?

Dr. Chris Foley grew up in Minnesota, attended the University of Notre Dame as an undergraduate, and completed his medical education at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and practiced internal medicine for 18 years in downtown St. Paul.

In 1995 he left his private practice to direct the opening of the HealthEast Healing Center in Maplewood - one of the first clinics designed to mix alternative therapies with mainstream medicine. When the Healing Center was sold to Infinite Health, he became the Medical Director. He also continues to reengineer the delivery of healthcare at the new Woodwinds campus of HealthEast in Woodbury and is the Director of Integrative Health there.

Dr. Foley believes in the concept that health is an "upstream" belief system and that personal health freedom is necessary to get there. He is the past president of the Minnesota Society of Internal Medicine, past trustee Ramsey County Medical Society, past delegate Minnesota Medical Association, Co-Editor of the Journal of the American Nutraceutical Association, clinical instructor in both the University of Minnesota Medical School and the College of Pharmacy, frequent speaker on the need for an integrated health-care system and development of the principles of "functional medicine."

He has been married to Janet for 23 years and they have 4 sons, ages18, 17, 13 and 6.
