Natural Health Is at the Crossroads : Michael J. Myers, JD.

Professor Myers has a joint appointment at the University of South Dakota School of Business, where he chairs the Division of Health Services Administration, and the School of Law. He teaches Health Finance, Health Economics, Health Care Law and Policy and Elderlaw. Professor Myers returned to academia after 20 years in hospital administration as the CEO of the 530-bed Mercy Hospital, Sioux City, Iowa; the CEO of Mayo-St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, MN; and the CEO of Riverside Medical Center, Minneapolis. From 1996-1999 he hosted a Sioux Falls-based talk radio show, “Health Care Marketplace” during which he offered a rare voice for natural health care. He and his wife Mary Ellen have seven children.
